Post Partum Care

Post partum care is done at 6 weeks for normal delivery and at 2 and 6 weeks following cesarean. Please schedule your appointment while in the hospital or during your first few days home to assure availability.

All of your questions and concerns will be addressed including post partum blues and/or depression. Post partum blues are very common with about 70% of women experiencing this after childbirth. Post partum depression is less common - affecting about 10% of new mothers.
